[OoC: This event is happening in three total threads. Each of the threads are happening all at the exact same time, so no character may be in more than one. When a thread ends, its participants may join any other event thread in progress.
IMPORTANT TO NOTE: stats and ability uses WILL NOT be factored into this event. For combat purposes, the ability will be freeform. No limit to uses. Understand that this does not mean that your characters are all-powerful gods. For this reason, we will be utilizing a Stress system, where certain events and unreasonable actions will add Stress to your characters. Stacking stress will result in different penalties, from slower movements or delayed perception, to unconsciousness.]
Steel beams fell from unfinished buildings as their foundations were completely destroyed. Panic ensued within the Racket seemingly at random, during what was otherwise a mostly normal day for the citizens. At first, the sentiment was that the demolitionists had simply failed to let people know what area they'd be working in that day -- however, when the bodies started to pile up, they realized they were wrong.
As known racketeers dashed away from a cloud of smoke and dust that approached behind them, they were in a mad sprint. Red, crackling energy could be seen within the smoke, before a violently, brief vacuum caused it to disperse within an area.
For a brief period, a man could be seen, energy rippling throughout his body. The moment his eyes locked onto his apparent prey, he shot his hand forward.
A tendril of what seemed to be an energized form of pure rage shot forward, catching one of the two fleeing men. It wrapped around his foot and continued to fly forward, eventually pulling him so he was dragged along the ground. Before the other individual could turn and run, the tendril was pulled back and the grappled man crashed into his fleeing companion.
With both of the fleeing men on the ground, their assailant charged forward still, leaping high into the air with a forceful propulsion that originated from his feet. After reaching a height of nearly twenty feet, he would descend, cocking back both fists all the while. Those fists would be thrown forward as he approached, and a small crater would form underneath them from the mess.
The two men did not move. It seemed in that moment, they were either killed instantly, or at least knocked unconscious. Whatever the case, though, the man continued to rain fists into their already-bloodied faces.
