“It’s alright, you’re doing great. Just keep your head up and don’t get caught by any more tendrils, okay?” She replied to Potage with a weak but good-natured laugh. Anora’s hands stung from the force of trying to free the redhead’s arm, but she didn’t have much time to mourn her bloodied fingers when she heard the creaking and crumpling of metal, alerting her to the continued assault.

She would run behind Runa alongside Potage– she didn’t like seeing her Knightly companion put themself in the direct line of fire, but Runa was far more suited to defense than she was. She’d quickly shoot a Necrotic Blast towards the enemy from over Runa’s shoulder before ducking back behind them, hissing from the pain surging through her fingers.

As Baba rushed forward and saw the mass of metal being prepared to be sent flying in by their target, he accepted that this was probably going to result in death, if not severe bodily injury. That much was inevitable.

It was too late to turn and run.

He wouldn't be able to dash for cover.

Getting past the man wouldn't change anything.

So, there was a single option left. And that option?

Attack.

Those behind him would see as Baba's veins lit up with a violent orange and white glow as his implants were activated at the same time. A sonic boom erupted from his location as he charged in, muscles swelling up as both strength and speed were enhanced to a point that it was quite literally actively killing him.

"If I die..."

Baba muttered as he dashed in, stopping directly in front of the man. He reeled his left arm back, fingers curled into a heavy fist as his muscles swelled. He stamped both feet down, creating a solid position -- and then he threw that fist forward, aiming to crash into the man's face.

"... YOU'RE COMING WITH ME!"

Kowasu (Break): (Tier One) Baba's magitech implants overload, granting him increased strength in a short burst, by siphoning his stamina. +20 STR -10 CON.

Senkō (Flash): (Tier One) Baba's magitech implants overload, granting him increased speed in a short burst, by siphoning his stamina. +20 DEX -10 CON.

[OoC: Due to the teamwork developed in the course of the last round, all participants will be granted situational advantage. This means I will be rolling the dice twice, and using the higher result for each character. As always, hidden modifiers apply.]

Thanks to Runa Morei-Nyland 's staunch defense, both Potage and Anora would be completely safe from the onslaught of metal from their attacker. The conjured shield would be pelted to the point of shattering entirely, but as a true knight did Runa stand to block the rest of the assault. Their armor would be shredded, with cuts lining much of the visible skin and shards impaled in their right shoulder and left thigh, but neither Potage nor Anora were harmed in this process!

Potage, Anora, and Forsythia would all find their target as their ranged attacks soared through the air just before the onslaught. Potage's spear ripped through the man's shoulder, while both Forsythia and Anora would strike him in his chest just before Baba's assault!

Unfortunately for Forsythia, while she landed a proper attack, she would also bear a fair amount of the brunt of the incoming shards of metal. Baba blocked much of it with his body, but she would still find it ripping into her left shoulder.

Shinsuke Baba cleared the distance with incredible speed, but as he correctly surmised, there was no way for him to defend here. For this reason, his body would be pelted and impaled in several locations, particularly in his right side ribs, thigh, and arm -- all of which had large shards still jutting out of them. Despite this, Baba would be able to find a successful strike in their foe's face, with enough force - particularly from the ranged distraction from the other three - that he would fall backward. With the force of Baba's punch, he'd crash into the ground, and his arms and legs fell limp for a moment.

He was clearly not out for the count, but this was the time to subdue their target without him fighting back!

Runa gritted their teeth, the onslaught becoming too overbearing as they saw and felt their shield beginning to tear under the strain. All too soon, it would shatter, and Runa recoiled, holding their arms out to block the others as much as they could as the remaining shards rained down upon them.

When the hail finally stopped, Runa fell to their knees, their clothes tattered and blood dripping from damn near everywhere on their body. Their right arm and left leg were injured particularly horribly, as they looked at the larger shards protruding from them, seeing their own blood pooling on the ground beneath them.

"G-gah... The two of you... need to run... please..." They'd cough out, finding talking and breathing both pained and much harder. They weren't sure how grievous their wounds were, but they couldn't give up. Not when people were in danger. Not when Anora was.

"I'll hold him off..." They'd breathe out, unable to get up on their own. They'd look at their one good hand, before weakly placing it in the pool of blood beneath them. Channeling what little light they could through their body, and soon it would travel across the ground. Upon reaching the now downed enemy, a small blade of light would shoot from the ground, aiming to strike the opponent wherever they could.

It was a weak attack, but they couldn't give up yet.

Anora watched in horror as Runa was pelted and impaled from the direct onslaught, seeing their shield of light shatter into fractures of iridescence, exposing them to every attack as they held their defense. Seeing them beaten and broken and bloodied before her inflicted a heart-wrenching pain that had her hands shaking in fear, in anger, in shock.

“No, you won't. Stay here.” Anora told them as she clenched her fists, eyes darting over to the enemy in question. She would spring into action, getting up and sprinting towards the enemy. She would grab a stray coil of rope sitting on the docks along the way, holding it tight in her hands as she made for her opponent. Upon reaching him, she would attempt to put the full weight of her knees on his legs to pin him down, and gathered his wrists to bind his hands together with rope. She had noticed that his hands moved whenever he used his powers, so she assumed it would be difficult for him to attack again if he were bound. She would try to steer clear of Runa’s minor light attack during this time.
