Pont-Ciel
People:
- Acacia Sinclaire: Renown mercenary from Bleeding Heart known for causing a recent explosion in Bright End that injured several people.
Locations:
Groups:
- Magian Council: Governmental Rulers of Pont-Ciel. Consists of accomplished mages and scientists.
- Leverage, Inc.: A business organization that specializes in security systems, bodyguarding, and acquisition of both material objects and information. They also employ a talented pool of researches and inventors to assist with furthering technology and techniques within those spectrums.
On the surface... All of this is true. This is the legal operations of the company, which is based in Argent of Point Ciel, with branch offices all across the continent, and merchants offering the wares scattered throughout the cities.
In Bleeding Heart, however, and in most similar "Slum" areas of other cities and towns across the continent... is the true business of Leverage Incorporated. Theft, espionage, robbery, under the table loans, frame jobs, all of these things are performed by employees of Leverage who work for the darker side of the company that no one can prove exists. While the main office of the criminal aspect is in Bleeding Heart, safe houses are scattered throughout all of the districts, and the less upstanding citizens who base their work in nighttime hours and illegal dealings prefer to travel discreetly through the Catacombs of Point Ciel.
The employees of Leverage number in the several hundred, across both sides. There is a cordial relationship between all workers of Leverage, be they working in the sun or under the moon.
Leverage has a strict policy of "No killing" while on the job illegally (Bodyguards are allowed to kill in defense of their clients). This policy is waived, however, for targets the company is specifically going after for crossing lines they will not tolerate. More information here. (Submitted by Tom)

History and Events:
- The Altambra Incident: In the year 995, the Altambra estate in Pont-Ciel's Bright End was the site of a massive explosion. The fabricated story was that an experimental magitech device malfunctioned, but the known reality -- much to the dismay of Altambra House -- is that the "prodigal son" had a magical mishap. Rowan Altambra lost control of his own magic and destroyed the Altambra Estate's entire south ward. The eldest heir to the family lost his life in the explosion, and the Lady and eldest daughter of the house were both hospitalized. Additionally, dozens of service staff found themselves hospitalized, with wounds ranging from small scrapes to broken limbs. This particular event shed a light on the grotesque practices of noble houses, as it resulted in Rowan's public disowning and being sent to live in the Bleeding Heart. (Submitted by Rowan Altambra)
- Explosion in Bright End: Recently, a knight was seen chasing a dangerous criminal through the upper district of Pont-Ciel, but the situation turned dire quickly. People were hurt, and a great explosion shook the foundations of Bright End and nearly claimed several lives. The explosion was due to a volatile, new prototype augmentation that is believed to have ties to Magitech, but it is mere speculation at this point. The knight in question has been reprimanded, and Acacia Sinclaire's name has been circulating the streets once again. (Submitted by Runa Morei-Nyland)

- The Gloomheart Court: Organization ran by the continent's most powerful Shades, for Shades. Shade government of sorts-- they advocate for Shadekind by offering support and ethical means of survival, such as volunteer blood banks. Prominent members include Kehru Vauleaux and House Vauleaux.
- The Calypso Foundation: Asakoshi owned origin, moved to Avarell to do research under the guise of religious charity. They buy children at a young age and put them into one of three testing environments and attempt to fuse magitech with their bodies. They fronted as a religious group for Moros as a group that was there to aid in the war relief effort. Publicly, it was a philanthropy organization mainly providing aid in war relief efforts and aid helping those who have been displaced, they are also known to have a number of orphanages. Under its cover, it was a research and development site dedicated to the Nemean Project, the creation of soldiers enhanced by the surgical implementation of magitech circuits along certain veins and bones and made up of a partner system one supporter and one offensive unit to rent out to militaries for outrageous sums and favors.
