In the Eastern Continent lies Asakoshi, home to the pure advancement and mastery of magitech. Upon the major corporations that occupy the large nation, the Crimson Veil remains one of the top competitors for power. Born from the shadows of corporate greed and espionage, the Veil combines the immortality of vampiric beings and those who practice the occult to empower their knowledge and production of magitech technology.
Comprised of individuals who were also lusting after the promise of power and wealth, the corporation has become a powerhouse in both the public sector and the underground. At the center of the groups beliefs the promise of immortality for all weighs above every other. The members of the Crimson Veil, known as the Bloodborne, volunteer and undergo heavy enhancement via magitech to achieve or surpass mortality. With a scarce success rate, the majority of races die with their beliefs but the select few that survive are accepted among the ranks of the elite.
The captains in the silent side of the Crimson Veil are known as the Dhampir, the few that survived the augmentation process of the experiments are placed under watch of the Council. They seek to take over Asakoshi as a whole, insuring that the Veil had a place to finally call their own. Though they take orders from the Council, no one knows the five that govern it. Though many speculate that the public CEO is part of them.
Operating the darker side of things covertly, the Crimson Veil masks themselves as a bioengineering organization for the more unfortunate of the nation. They offer several services to the needy and fund it from their own pockets outwardly. Though the layers of secrecy they hold allow them to infiltrate their competition and even other nations, unbeknownst to the public. Though while maintaining the utmost secrecy that they can muster, some of the rival parties have begun to suspect something is happening but no one has been able to point a finger yet.
To the average citizen of Asakoshi, the Crimson Veil was nothing more than a glimmer of hope for the majority of the nation. Yet things continued to seem worse and worse with the rising rate of violence in the city and the dwindling resources available to them. It seemed like sooner rather than later was the time for a push in their favor.
