The explosion would cause Yevva to let out a yelp as she landed and took a knee. There were bruises and cuts mixed in with the reddened skin of a burn from a flare of fire. Yevva would push off her good leg for Rowan once again, this time with her left hand pressed against her chest holding a red magic circle, hopefully getting up before Rowan to try and bring her weight down along with her fist and activate her Red Circle which would make her much stronger. Hoping to bring her right fist down and crack Rowan on the left side of his face.
Yevva wanted this fight in her heart, someone whose power could do this kind of destruction, even one so young would be good for her rep. However, beyond that she hated the way he was. Reminded her of how life came after her at that age. How a kind and soft heart was useless to her, yet this guy still had morals and couldn't ignore them, stunting himself like this. It made her irrationally angry.

Rowan slid back just a bit, but ultimately would not fall further than to one knee. So, as Yevva stood back up, she'd see Rowan already getting to both feet. He'd charge several bits of debris on the way, causing them to fly out behind the woman and pelt her in the back with each step she took.
When that right fist came in and struck Rowan across his left cheek, that was the first time in a couple years that he'd actually tasted his own blood... let alone felt any pain. His eyes widened, and for a moment, he was stunned. Slowly, those orbs turned to stare her in the eyes, before he spit the blood in his mouth on the ground beneath them. His wrist moved up to wipe his lips clean, before he scowled.

For once she kind of smirked. That was pretty much everything she could throw at him and she knew that hurt, or at least deep down, but the guy was missing the entire point.
"Bend? I don't want you to suddenly see things my way."
Her back hurt from the pelting of the stones, but she managed. Twisting into an uppercut, though this time it wasn't empowered, it was just to try and prevent him from talking back.
"I just want to blow off some steam and you're an easy mark."

This time, when Yevva went for her uppercut, she'd find her target barely budged. Her knuckles would catch his jaw and his head would lean back, but, slowly, he'd push her hand down and stare her in the eyes.

Yeva would back peddle a bit and shrug if allowed. She wasn't trying to press against his chin after the uppercut, or stay that interlocked in close range. Mostly because like he said, he blows shit up for a living.
"Maybe I wanted more of a challenge than what the Gym can provide."
She would glance at the crumbling building once more before she brought her attention back to Rowan.
"That being said, you really should finish your job."
She kept up her defenses.

She could kind of tell he was baiting her... A smirk crossed her face, she didn't have enough Magic to do that more than once more, but he obviously had a plan and she wanted to see what it was. So she would wave a hand and the red magic circle would appear once more slowly spinning on her chest. She would aim this shot for his stomach, unsure of the plan, but she was hoping to do some damage for the organs that aren't protected by the ribs. At least cause a bit of pain through the abdomen.
Once again aiming right fist for the gut and raising the left for defense, keeping it close to the body.

Rowan hadn't felt pain -- real pain -- for over two years. So, this woman got him wondering.
Could she really hurt him?
That's the entire reason he taunted her, and when she took the bait, he couldn't help but grin.
If Yevva expected him to retaliate, she would be sorely disappointed. Instead, he closed his eyes, and as Yevva slammed her fist into his stomach, she'd feel that skin harden on contact. This time, he was ready for it.
And this time, he barely felt a thing.
Slowly, those eyes opened, and that smirk faded.
"Pity. Almost got excited for a moment... but you're another disappointment."Staunch Defender (Tier One): Rowan has never had any qualms in taking a hit for someone else, especially because he's always known he can take it. The man becomes a shield for someone, protecting them from harm while his body becomes naturally more durable for a short period. +20 Con -10 Dex per post. 2/2 used.

Yeva would drop to a knee suddenly and aim to bring her left elbow into Rowan's crotch. She can take taunting, but the guy was a little over cocky wasn't he? He wanted to feel pain? It may be a bit of a cheap shot, but he could deal with it, right?!
She wasn't going to be disheartened by his reactions to her attacks, drawing her right arm in prepared to make a move just in case, this was a fight not a dick wagging contest, he showed he can take a beating, good. He would need that.

Yevva was much faster than him, but thankfully Rowan didn't need to do much to prevent getting hit in those noble Altambra family jewels. He'd shift on his heel, twisting his hips to allow himself to be struck in the thigh instead. It was a sore spot, certainly, but he'd flex the muscle to try and minimize injury, all while bringing his leg up, still bent.
From here, Rowan would fully extend his right leg, looking to jam his heel into Yevva's face.

Yeva would create a small platformed Magic circle against her right hand to use to push herself out of the way of the kick into a roll and back to a knee. The warm ups were over, it seemed like the guy was ready to commit to the fight, so she would create another platform by her foot to push off of and slide forward and aim a kick to the knee she hit before.

Rowan wouldn't just stand there while the woman displayed her acrobatics. Instead, he'd step backward, kicking debris as he walked by it to charge it. This would both put some space between him and his aggressor, as well as give him more weapons to fight with.
Just because he could take a hit didn't mean he could throw a punch, after all.
"This is pointless," Rowan growled, holding his hand forward and sending the charged rocks flying straight toward Yevva. The woman would find them pelting her as she advanced, and Rowan would step backward the entire time. No doubt she'd catch up, seeing as she was way faster than him, but he wasn't going to let her strike him for free anymore.

She did press the attack, lifting up a magic circle at an angle to try and redirect the flying rocks, she wasn't going to fall for that all day, but her circle barely stood up to them as a solid object, so she did need to get in close and press her attack. Though if she wanted to keep up the defense against the rocks she'd have to go it one handed to maintain concentration on a solid circle.
"Annoying."
It's not like she expected him to just stand there and get punched over and over, and she hadn't really gotten used to using her solid circles for more than carrying things around or make shift tables and platforms, so rocks were still getting by or through. She would aim to get close and smash her right fist into his face at the first opportunity.

The woman's attack was telegraphed enough by now. When she finally approached, Rowan would throw his left forearm up, slapping the inside of the woman's. At the same time, he moved his head to the right, tilting it to get away from the punch. He stomped inward with his right foot, sliding it forward and keeping a solid base with his left foot behind him.
Then, Rowan would throw his weight forward and slam his forehead into the woman's nose.
No one wins in a headbutt... except Rowan.

When Rowan came barreling into her space she had a sudden fear return about being crushed by the oddly large fighter from the pits and she flinched hard, tucking her chin. Though that helped her avoid having her nose crushed by Rowans thick skull, that didn't stop the sound of two bowling balls slapping together and the following pain.
She would use the hand she had been using to maintain the circle and push Rowan away while she tried to remember where she was from the numbing impact. Though it didn't hurt as much as she thought it would considering how well he could take a hit.
