A jobs, a jobs, a job. Yevva had just finished a little bit of a nasty bit of work gathering protection money from one of the black market dealers. The guy had decided to hire some goons for cheap thinking then they wouldn't have to pay up. Everyone pays up, it just depends on what kind of interest you want to accrue from dumb decisions.
Yevva ended up busting a couple of her knuckles and getting a bloody lip from the scuffle, but it wasn't anything unusual. She still had more collections to do for the day, so she had to press on either way. She enjoyed the grunt work even though she was an officer. She would be making her way looking for some fraudsters that have been operating without paying a share. Though she didn't have a good description to go off of, she figured she would be able to figure it out if she paid close enough attention.

Valerie walked down the street with a sigh, having gone up ahead to scout and potential new hooligan locations, "This part of the city fuckin' blows..." She mumbled, her eyes scanning the streets. She'd lay eyes on a blonde haired girl, noticing that they'd look more roughed up than most of the people she noticed.
Honestly, she was pretty tempted to go start shit with her. She hadn't gotten into a good fight for awhile. For now she'd stalk behind them, doing her best to seem to be browsing shops and the like.

Yeva was not paying as much attention or else she would of noticed she had a tail. Instead she would find places that she thought looked good to fake an injury, or lure someone in to blackmail them, really trying to get her head into the space of someone trying to run a decent scam. Though she guessed she didn't really fit in around here anymore since she was wearing a suit.
She looked around once more deciding to just stop someone random.
"Hey, if you were going to throw yourself in front of a car to fake an injury to blackmail someone into paying you money, where would you do it?"

Valerie noticed that the girl she was trailing stopped, so she pretended to act busy looked over what was realistically some alley trash put on string. She listened in with curiosity, wondering what they meant for a moment before her ear fluttered.
Oh. They're talking about them.She piped up from behind the rando, giving them a small wave, "Oh, are you talking about that duo of scammers that have been going around?" Val looked relatively dirty, certainly not someone of any wealth at all. Maybe barely managing?

She basically shoved the random person away to get them to go about their business when someone else decided to add themselves to the conversation. They seemed to have more information, though she had to think about it. She wasn't sure if it was a duo or a group? Whatever she wasn't sure entirely.
"Yeah probably. What do you know?"
She would approach a bit more just cause she didn't feel like raising her voice too much. Unlike the beastkin she didn't really have any possible enhanced senses.... Though that sounded like something interesting to try with Magic.

Valerie smiled, looking at the woman up and down with a laugh,
"C'mon, this is the underground. You think you can get this information for free?" She cracked her neck to side with a loud pop, her eyes narrowing as she spread her legs into a more comfortable stance.
"I need some fight in my life, you beat me up and I'll tell ya what I know. Aight?" The beastfolk looked incredibly smug, almost enough for anyone to wanna at least throw a punch,
"But if ya don't wanna... I understand." She waved them towards her, offering the first hit.

Yeva would stare for a short while as the girl prepared, the signs were obvious, so she reached to her shoulder and in one motion removed her suit jacket, tossing it to the side. Yeva would adjust her stance just a bit so her left foot was leading and once waved on, she would dash forward telegraphing a large right hook.
"Uryaaa!"
She'd let out a small battle cry and she put some umph behind it. She may have been given the first hit, but Yeva wasn't dumb. She wanted to see what the chick could do too, so it best to give a bit of a warm up.

Valerie smiled as they saw the blonde girl prepare herself almost instantly after she had done the same, her smiling going into a grin as soon as the first punch was thrown. She'd dodge back in anticipation of the wildly telegraphed punch.
Her body would rebound forward, using her momentum to try and deliver a jab directly to the nose, her punch aiming upwards slightly to navigate past their arm.

She was fast, the blonde barely had enough time to tilt her head to let the jab slam into her cheek. She'd likely get a black eye from that hit, but for now she would attempt to grab the jabbing arm with her left hand before it could be retracted, to hold her in place as she kept her right hook coming in.
If the hook connected she would let go of the arm, if she didn't get to grab the arm she'd still attempt to finish the hook.

Valerie felt her punch connect, but not where she intended. Her eyes flashed with excitement as her body moved to dodge the hook but was quickly grabbed shortly after. As the hook grazed past her head she attempted to slide her foot around and kick them in the thigh.
"Oooh, so you do got some fight in ya."

The kick to the thigh was annoying, the sting throbbing in the muscle meant it could charlie horse or cramp, but it wasn't the strongest hit she'd felt, so she take the opportunity to step to the right, since her hook didn't land she'd throw the fist away and attempt to smash her left fore arm and and elbow into an elbow strike across the girls face.
She was a little faster than Yeva, but she couldn't really do much damage with her attacks. It was a float like a butterfly sting like a bee strategy. This girl was going to need the stamina to keep up with moving like that and striking, Yeva wondered if she could. That'd make the second person recently she had faced off with who could deal with that kind of fighting.

Yeva was easily able to wipe the smirk off of Valeries face as the elbow connected with her left cheek. She staggered back a little, seemingly a bit dazed as she got her senses back in half a second. She wasn't given the impression that this girl was super strong, but now knew not to underestimate them.
She put her fists back up and smiled, wiping her cheek with the sleeve of her jacket. Val waited for the person to strike next, taking a defensive stance now.

Yeva smirked when Valerie took a defensive position and waited. Smart move, and she couldn't tell if the other woman was using any abilities, which meant this was still the warm up phase. Yeva would walk towards Valerie, not in any kind of rush, it was an intimidation factor and Yeva was fine with getting hit for it if she could push through anyways and retaliate. If allowed close enough her left left would shoot low aiming for a punch to Valerie's right side gut.
Yeva's right hand would be coming up in front of her crossing her body a bit diagonally to rest the fist near the left side of her face. In Karate the contraction of muscles moving in tandem is used for their basic punches, just to add torque, Yeva was having her muscles pull together by moving both arms at the same time getting her chest and shoulders involved into pulling each other like a rubber band. It wasn't as powerful or useful as the basic Karate punch, but the concept was useful.
