The library of the Conservatory was the first stop on this journey of discovery. It wasn't as quiet as one would think with people flipping through pages of science books for the magitech contraptions and those studying theory of spell craft or histories of magic and technology. Yeva had only the shortest of academic teaching where she had only become familiar with some basics as present with her magic circles. It was the same base formula in her mind and the aspects of the physical form that could be enhanced were simple to edit on the fly. Let alone her house hold circles and the one that can shift your position in space. That was pretty much her arsenal of understanding.
She had to become very self taught in all aspects of magic and science to really get a feel for how her magic fit into the world or better yet how her magic could shape the world. She needed new formulas and new elements. Doing the same tricks over and over again was okay at the base level, but if you don't adapt to new things you will never grow. Her whole mind set since she was young was about growing and climbing and doing everything she can to improve.
So todays study was going to derive of elements. Using her magic circles to create, improve, or manipulate elements around her. She would focus on just her usual household magic circles. Maybe light a fire, transport a flame, cause a plant to grow or wilt. Clean water, purify it. Mixing elements for mud or clay. She spent a few days trying out different ideas she could come up with using these books. Before long she would be working and come up with a new formula or theory and she would quickly return tot he library to find a book to confirm or help test her ideas. She grew to understand some of the magitech and abilities being displayed around her, how manifestations may differ, but effects might be the same.
Primarily she grew to understand the true lengths she herself could go with her own abilities. Her magic circles were actually vast, but they were held back by her lack of understanding of what they really were. It was actually science displayed as magic. Cosmic formula's that rewrote cause and effect to her own will. Though that could also cause severe issues if she got the formula wrong, so she would need to study even harder in the future. For now however, she had the building blocks to grow leaps and bounds.
