Once again returning to the Conservatory there were some books she had put to the side because they didn't peak her interest at first. Until recently when she had accidentally used a spell that didn't involve a magic circle when she was in a rush. It felt different like it came from somewhere or something else. Digging through the noted books on subjects of the flow of magic, magical origins and the mystic arts she found a quiet place to relax and read. There was a lot of mumbo jumbo and philosophy, but that was all bullshit, right? Meditating and becoming one with the universe was for old men with big beards to contemplate universes and cosmos... Right?
The more she read about magic, patron gods, fae contracts, and magical bloodlines... The more that cosmic mumbo jumbo began to make sense. She never really saw what her parents were capable of, because their magic wasn't really household stuff. Did they have a strong magical bloodline? Did their family have a contract of some sort? Were they simply that in tune with the flow of Aether? She began reading about the cosmic flow of magic that makes up all things, and sat down to try and concentrate on it.
For a long time there was nothing, but an odd sense of peace and quiet. While that was nice it wasn't exactly what Yeva was looking for. So she decided to try to slowly weave a basic magic circle that caused a small breeze like a handheld fan. She began with the outlines, which would sprinkle into existence from thin air falling into her right hand. Before she began writing the formula as each runic letter imprinted itself onto the circle she could feel the circles power shift and change trying to follow the laws of the runes being inscribed. There was something there pouring over her and through her pouring into the circle.
She had never really felt it before because of how quickly she built the circles in the past, she skipped all the basic steps to create circles that simply said "Speed", "Power", "Defense", etc. Now after her previous studies she knew every individual rune had its own power not just just the word in the spell. This combined with the awareness of a greater flow of magic beyond what she held within, gave her ideas for the future. She didn't have to solely rely on herself, magic was everywhere, it was everything. She had learned it in school before, but to actually feel it, to know the touch of the Aether. That was completely different.
