How did they end up in this situation cheeks flush, breath heavy, and completely covered in sweat whoever thought it was a good idea for Persy to be the one pulling this cart of ill gotten gains was an idiot, wait it was them. Their arms were buckling over the weight of this cart, sure they had the stamina to do it but they were starting to lose feeling in their muscles
"Vale please can we take a break this hill is so steep and my arms feel like they are going to give out any minute."
How long had it even been since the two of them began they trip back to the hideout hours it had to have been, and the two weren't even half way up the street.

Valerie heaved the cart up the hill, grunting as it seemed to her she was pushing the entire cart herself, "Perse.... If we let go of it now it's gonna fuckin' go back down the hill." She continued to haul the cart upwards, using the earth around them to ease the journey as much as she could.
The stones and such on the street would realign to make it a smoother journey for them, but it would still be extremely strenuous on the two beastfolk as they continued their constant journey. One that would seem extremely long.

Persy grunted their hands stiff as frost began to form on the handlebar they was pushing. They tried to speed up a little in an attempt to keep their partner from brunting a majority of the load alone.
"I'm sorry I'm trying I really am."
Their legs shaking and feet digging into the ground Persy would muster all they could to keep pulling this cart up hill.

"Y'know Percy... You could hit the gym sometime. Would do us both... A lot of good." She groaned at her through gritted teeth, her eyes squinting as her legs did the majority of the work. Looking around at the empty city street, she wondered where literally anyone she could pay to help them.
"Why the hell... Is there no one around anyway? We stumble into a ghost town...?"

"I now I'll try I prom- wait you're right I wasn't really thinking about that till you mentioned it but the streets are oddly quiet."
Persy replied as they slowly looked around the street and began to try and pick up the pace "let just hurry this up this is starting to creep me out." A shiver when down Persy's spine as two continued their trek home, not even thinking about the pain in their arms as it was over powered by fear.
