"Huh? A summon from the Mistress?" Bianca would ask, and Nero would nod as he bowed to the messenger, who would leave on their way immediately. He would turn to face his sister, unsure of why Lady Vauleaux wanted to see him so urgently.
"It has been a while since we have been asked to attend to an urgent matter... Nevertheless, we owe our Mistress dearly. I must needs make haste. I'll inform you of what's going on when a chance arises." He'd say. "Oh, and my apologies for leaving you to finish this up."
Bianca looked behind her at the building they were at. It was for a trade dispute between two of the lesser families, though it was at the tail end of its drama now. Nothing that Bianca wasn't used to taking care of. In response, she'd shrug at Nero. "If it comes to it- which I hope it does- I wouldn't mind busting a head or two. You know me."
Nero grinned, his sister was ever the fighter, quite the opposite of his own demeanor. And with that, he'd leave, making his way to House Vauleaux.
As he arrived, he'd see a man in a long, black and white ornate suit awaiting him, and he'd immediately recognize that expertly crafted cane and long white hair anywhere.
"Lord Vauleaux? My apologies if I've kept you waiting, sir." Nero would say with a quick bow, to which Senri would smile and wave his cane non-chalantly. "Oh, what is a few minutes to an immortal? I just thought I'd see you in myself. Worry not, I shall be attending you when you see Kehru. I understand she has a way of... unnerving gentler souls than myself."
Nero was surprised that he would be speaking to both Vauleauxs, thinking the situation was more dire than he feared. Had he perhaps misstepped somewhere and was being punished? No, Senri Vauleaux was not the type of person to reassure him if he were angry. Perhaps it was something more diplomatic, something he was finely suited to without the confines of a ruling title like Lady Vauleaux.
Senri would lead him inside the gate, and past the large doors of House Vauleaux. No matter how many years it's been, or how much he's grown, the building was never any less impressive. Still, there was no time to take in the familiar sights, as Senri had lead him straight to Kehru's study. With a knock louder than you'd expect to announce himself, Senri would give Kehru some notice before he opened the door, gesturing for Nero to step inside.
Nero walked into the study, bowing immediately.
"You wished to see me, Mistress?"
