Current abilities:
Tier 0: Ghostwalk: Tom can phase out of reality and walk through solid objects with little effort, akin to a ghost without corporeality. He needs to be in a noncombative state of mind to achieve this; any sort of violent intentions aimed at him will jolt him back to corporeality, and he cannot exert it if currently in combat; if he is partly into an object, he will be jolted back onto whichever side he is mostly on. He can exert this power partially or full body, so long as he can maintain a non-combative mindset. Additionally, he is still subject to gravity in that he is unable to float with this ability alone. Additionally, he cannot phase an object he has to phase through another object to grab.
(CANNOT be used in combat unless managing to avoid hits WITHOUT attempting any violence himself for 3 consecutive posts, combative motions such as attacks will force him back into a physical state).
Tier 1: Ghostfloat: Tom can temporarily suspend gravity for himself and objects in his possession, freeing him from the burdens of the world's gravitational pull. For 2 posts, Tom and any non sentient objects in his possession are not subject to gravity. Note, he cannot suspend gravity for others; only himself.))
Tom was fond of midnight strolls in Bleeding Heart. As the darker section of the city, the lack of sunlight didn't slow its business one bit. However, sometimes he was disinclined to deal with said business, or attempted muggings. Fortunately, ascending to the rooftops was child's play for his skills and ability to ignore gravity, and he was fairly good at Parkour, at least for leaping from buildings, making use of his speed to accelerate for long jumps as needed.
And if he missed... Well, becoming intangible at will saved a LOT of nasty bruises. Or cuts. Or broken bones.
And so tonight was a night Tom spent bouncing from rooftop to rooftop, seeing what might catch his attention to observe. At least until he heard the sounds of pained screaming... and begging. Yeah that boded ill, so definitely something to check. Hit or miss on if Tom would involve himself but something this loud was worth checking. A few rooftops later he would be staring at the scene.
That... was a good chunk of people. Yeah they weren't okay. Tom mentally marked the sword wielder as 'Very dangerous' and resolved to avoid getting close if possible. And then Tom noticed the kid.
The kid the psychopath of the week had also noticed.
... Oh HELL. Fortunately, it seems others had appeared on the scene and were already bombarding him objects and distractions aplenty. That in mind, Tom, embracing his nature as a Ghost, would move silently and rapidly across the rooftop, no breathing, steps measured and carefully placed so no sound emanated. Once above the main disturbance, Tom would phase out of the material world and drop INTO the wall, sinking down to ground level carefully, his hands briefly being physical to grab the flooring inside the buildings every floor to slow and guide his descent. As he did, Tom's face would look out the wall, no need to breathe, observing for the right moment to intervene.
