Rowan would fly back and hit the wall, yet remained unfazed. In fact, the wall was probably more damaged than he was. Instead, he'd just slap his palms and feet against the wall, eyeing the bastard who got up and had located a new target.

"Where do you think you're going?!" Rowan cried out.

Palms and feet both would erupt, sending explosive energy outward to try and propel himself toward the man. He'd direct himself to go low, getting as close to parallel to the ground as he could. From here, if it didn't send him far enough, he'd slap the ground, creating more explosions from his palms to essentially frog jump to close the gap. If he could do this, he'd go for the man's leg's, trying to tackle just one -- whichever appeared to have the least support put into it at the time.

So much had happened at once. Runa's explosion had gone off at the same time as everyone else's attacks, coupled with the screaming and the flashing lights and sounds above. It was rather overwhelming, and it seemed that they had lost focus. Before they knew it, they were sent flying as the monster fought everyone off.

Sliding along the ground, Runa groaned as they tried to regain their senses, the sound of scraping metal ringing in their ears. Getting to their feet, they would see the man had lost all sense of reason, bearing fang and claw... and coming straight for them. They may have failed to take its legs out, but at least its aggro was on them now. As a knight, that was exactly what they wanted.

Gritting their teeth, Runa's eyes would soon narrow as they raised their shield, pulling their sword out in their other hand. They remembered their mother's teachings, keeping an eye on your opponent's movements... and exploit any opening you can find. They recalled their father's words, telling them to never show their back. To never turn away.

"I am Wolfborn." They'd say firmly to steel their resolve, charging forward at the Ghoul as their light burst forth around them, a powerful aura enveloping them with a greater mass of light concentrating within their shield.

They'd meet the Ghoul's charge, shield raised to tank the blow the best they could. At the same time, a great burst of light would shoot forth, with plans to strike the Ghoul's face or chest head on once they collided. With any luck, it would hurt him enough to dull his assault, or allow the others to find an opening while Runa kept his attention.

(OOC: Tier 1 - Hallowed Ground: Preparing to stand their ground, Runa's light shifts into a powerful defensive mode. Their defense grows far more powerful, but they become far less mobile as a result. Made to tank more powerful attacks or defend their allies. Runa gains +15 CON at the cost of -5 DEX. (1/4 used, current DEX and CON are 5 and 39 respectively due to +10 from Yeva)

Tier 1 - Back Off!: Runa channels light energy into their shield arm, allowing it to coalesce into their shield before striking their enemy, resulting in a heavy shield bash charged with explosive light. Deals 125% of Runa's Ability Power in damage. (2/4 used))

Anora got up from where she was working, satisfied that the injured person was stabilized and not bleeding out everywhere. She entrusted the patient to a volunteer who had offered to transport them in their vehicle to the nearest medical clinic, a ways off and around the present conflict in the streets.

There was shouting and the sound of collisions– the fact that the battle still waged was worrisome. Anora hadn’t heard a word from Runa since they had run off, and now that there were no other living patients to tend to, she had every intention of going after them. She took off in a sprint and was reunited with a view of the others when she turned the corner, watching as a fellow Shade was lunging right at her companion.

“Runa!” She called out. Knowing she wouldn’t reach them in time to stop the attack, she sent out a necrotic blast toward the ghoul.

Like a good hero, Shouichi is there.

Shouichi's assault went without a hitch, being able to strike the Ghoul with both of his attacks. This caught the monster off guard, as well as slowed it's momentum as it started to fall to the ground. Eslia's voice would reach Runa as well as the Ghoul, and Runa became debilitated, causing their attack to land sloppily against the Ghoul's chest as they collided. Anora's strike would strike Runa in the side, causing them to fall off of their feet from the ensuing beast of a man with his combined momentum, though thankfully Yeva's boon had stopped severe harm. They were now underneath the Ghoul, however...

Rowan and Potage would succeed in grappling their foe, Rowan taking his legs down and Potage getting him in a chokehold. This would allow Yeva to slash at his face successfully, the blade searing his face as small bits of smoke flew up from the wound, it was the first strike since this fight began that caused the creature to scream in visible pain as blood trickled from the wound. The man would squirm, attempting to get them off, and would bear their teeth as they tried to bite down on Potage's arm to let him free.

Tom would see a man rush forward to take the child to safety, while another approached him. "I dinnae what ya got planned, and you lot are real crazy for not jus' runnin', but will this do, aye?" He asked, presenting a well-used machete to him.
